Transform the Pool You Already Have

Pool remodeling in Dallas-Fort Worth can be as focused as replacing a worn interior finish or as comprehensive as redesigning the pool, deck, equipment, and surrounding outdoor space.

The right scope starts with the existing pool. Venture evaluates its current condition, how it connects to the backyard, and what you want to change before recommending a remodeling plan.

Your project may involve resurfacing, new tile and coping, a remodeled deck, improved lighting, updated pool equipment, automation, water features, an attached spa, structural changes, or a complete visual transformation.

The goal is not simply to make an older pool look newer. It is to create a space that looks intentional, operates reliably, and works better for the way you live today.

We hired Venture to build our pool. I have never had a pool before it is was a big project (pool, roof extension, detached patio, pavers, etc). We reviewed and met with several pool companies in DFW but when we had our first meeting with Andy we knew Venture was the company for us.

I am not really that great with bringing a vision of what we want to life but my wife had a nice plan and Andy designed it and made it come to life. We could not be more pleased!

When the construction started we were handed off to our project manager (Brett). It was easily the most pleasant experience of any of our home projects. Brett took care of everything quickly and all of the work is of the highest quality. When we had issues (all construction has issues) they were handled immediately and professionally. Cannot say enough praise for Brett - he is not just a good construction manager he is an ELITE construction manager.

They did such a great job we have referred our neighbors and even my parents for different projects to Venture already.

Venture exceeded expeditions and got our pool done in 3 months from start to first swim. And that’s with all the rain in DFW this year!

If you want your pool to be amazing you need Venture Custom Pools! You absolutely get what you pay for and then some!

We got several pool estimates from large pool contractors in DFW and Venture pools allowed us to pick out much more customization than the other places, and at the best price. Ken Green was very responsive and helped us sign the contact. Once construction started, Bret our project manager had the pool installed in a matter of weeks, ahead of schedule, and with zero complications. Can’t say enough for this team. Thank you Venture for our great pool.

From start to finish it was a great experience working with Venture Custom Pools!

During the planning phase Greg was extremely helpful and accommodating with designing our pool to maximize the budget and space we had to work with. Greg even made several site visits to ensure we didn’t miss anything.

Building a custom pool and home at the same time can be a stressful endeavor but the construction team (Angelica, Amanda, and Buddy) at Venture did an excellent job with scheduling to ensure our pool was finished at the same time as our house! Buddy, our project manager went above and beyond to facilitate a smooth project timeline, as well as answer all our questions during and after construction. Buddy even reached out several months after our pool was finished to make sure we were prepared for the freezing weather of December 2023!

Two thumbs up for Venture Custom Pools.

I highly recommend considering Venture Custom Pool for your pool construction needs. I recently had my pool built by them, and the construction took place from October 2023 to February 2024. Mark Leuthold, the Senior Construction Consultant, did an exceptional job in meeting our requirements while staying within a reasonable budget. He presented an excellent initial design proposal based on our initial discussions and was very accommodating in making modifications to suit our preferences. The ability to view a virtual image of the proposed pool was incredibly convenient and allowed us to visualize the final outcome before any work began. Mark provided valuable suggestions and guidance based on his extensive knowledge and experience, which was immensely helpful throughout the process.
Following the finalization of the design, we were introduced to Buddy Phillips, the Construction Manager, who efficiently organized the construction timeline. Buddy was proactive in keeping us informed of any delays or issues that arose during the construction phase. Whenever we had questions, Buddy promptly provided comprehensive answers, ensuring we remained fully informed throughout the project. Additionally, as we had to travel internationally during the construction period, Buddy was accommodating in rescheduling the construction activities to ensure we could observe crucial stages of the process. Even after the construction was finished, Buddy continued to offer strong support by addressing our inquiries and attending to post-construction requirements. He dedicated considerable time to thoroughly explain the operation instructions for the pool and promptly responded to any questions we had, spending hours ensuring we were fully informed.
Overall, our experience with Venture Custom Pool, Mark, and Buddy exceeded our expectations, and we are thrilled with the final result of our pool.

I’m a general contractor myself, and really wanted to build the pool myself, but I wanted to be 100% sure that it was going to be supervised from someone with years of dedication and experience specially with in-ground pools. I shopped around and meet several sales people. I wanted a quality built pool for a fair price but also and more importantly backed by a company with a strong backbone.

I have heard several pool companies starting jobs and then shut down their doors. This is why I went with Venture Custom Pools. I had met with one of the senior sales guys name Mark a few years back when we first built our home. I remembered that he was patient communicative super experience in the field and genuinely wanted to just build pools for his clients family to enjoy. Trust me, he doesn’t need the sale. Their was no pushy tactics or unnecessary add-ons. Simply meeting the needs of what you want in your budget.

Fast forward to July 2023, and we agreed on a design and a price that was reasonable. Like I said, I shopped around.

Around 15 days later, we receive the approved permits from the city. There was a little hold up on our end with our HOA but we received the green light.

We met our pool manager by the name of Buddy. Yes, that is his real name. He was super awesome. He stated that he doesn’t wanna make any promises but by the way things were looking and how he was setting up his schedule, he would have this project done, swim ready in five weeks. I was a little optimistic because I know the average time it takes with all the permit process, weather and other unforeseen delays.

He kept us up to speed on everything that was taking place and shared so much knowledge, as he is very experienced in every aspect in the pool industry.

Within four weeks, our pool was complete. Yes, four weeks and swimming. When you have a good manager that stays on top of his crew, back by a good company, this is the result. Our pool is beautiful. It’s even better than we thought it was going to be. Special shout out to my man Buddy! Keep up the good work. And thanks for giving us enough weekends to enjoy the pool before we entered the colder season.

Pool Remodeling Built Around North Texas Conditions

Pool remodeling in Dallas-Fort Worth requires attention to more than color and style. Intense summer heat, occasional freeze events, mineral-rich water, drainage, and expansive soils can affect finishes, coping, decking, plumbing, equipment, and the surrounding site.

Venture considers the visible materials and the systems beneath them before the scope is finalized. That local evaluation helps distinguish a focused cosmetic update from a larger pool renovation.

Pool Remodeling FAQs

The cost depends on the pool's size and condition, site access, material selections, and the scope of work. Resurfacing or tile replacement generally costs less than a project involving structural changes, decking, a spa, water features, and equipment upgrades. Venture provides a project-specific proposal after evaluating the pool and confirming the scope.

The timeline depends on the work involved. Resurfacing generally takes less time than a complete remodel with structural changes, decking, equipment, or new features. Weather, inspections, site conditions, access, materials, and approved changes can affect the schedule. Venture provides a project-specific timeline after the scope is established.

A pool remodel may include resurfacing, waterline tile, coping, decking, lighting, equipment, automation, structural modifications, a spa, water features, or outdoor living improvements. The final scope depends on the existing pool and the homeowner's priorities.

Pool resurfacing replaces the interior finish of an existing pool. Pool remodeling is broader and may include resurfacing plus tile, coping, decking, equipment, structural changes, lighting, spas, water features, and other backyard improvements.

In many cases, an existing pool can be evaluated for an attached spa or water feature. Feasibility depends on the pool structure, plumbing, equipment, utilities, site access, available space, and local requirements.

Many older pools are candidates for remodeling when the shell and major systems are suitable for renovation. An evaluation helps determine which components may remain and whether structural, plumbing, drainage, deck, or equipment work should be included.

Venture Custom Pools serves qualifying pool remodeling projects throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex from offices in Plano, Roanoke, and Waxahachie. Submit the project ZIP code or call to confirm current service availability.

Permit and inspection requirements vary by municipality and project scope. Structural changes, electrical work, gas lines, drainage, barriers, and some equipment installations may require approval. The applicable requirements should be confirmed for the property and proposed work.
